Why I am a sustaining donor

Being a sustaining donor of an organization demonstrates your support and dedication to the shared views and values of that organization. I am a sustaining donor of IVAW, Under the Hood, and Coffee Strong (please call the number on the home page as they are updating their website). I am a sustaining donor despite being a graduate student living on loans and less than $700 a month. Contributing monthly or quarterly also gives financial security to the organization in an economic climate that is becoming increasingly difficult to sustain a non-profit.

If you are currently a sustaining donor to one or all of the organizations listed above, thank you. But don't let your support stop there. Become involved in IVAW's Operation Recovery, Coffee Strong's fight for veteran's rights and care on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, and Under the Hood's demand to make General Campbell enforce his own policies concerning the care and treatment of traumatized troops.

We know the war in Iraq is over. Afghanistan is winding down but both occupations have had a tremendous impact on the mental and physical health of soldiers and civilians. Like the War is Trauma IVAW / Just Seeds print exhibit reminds us: Remember the vet who can't forget by supporting those organizations doing the work on the frontlines daily.
