I went to Persian Gulf War in 1991 & after a 10-year break in service re-enlisted in Texas Army National Guard in 2003 ETSing in 2011. During this period, I went to Iraq 2x. I was in Iraq when the Golden Mosque was destroyed, in Samara. I was supporting Col. Michael Steele -yes that one, and the 101 AB 3rd BCT Rakkasans during Operation Iron Triangle.
