July 28th Warrior Writers Workshop 1:00pm to 7:00pm Under the Hood Café

Warrior Writers is a project that brings soldiers and veterans together to write and make art about our experiences in the War and in the military. By recording our experience we engage in the healing process of art-making and we record our personal truths of what it is to live through the military in a time of war. Veteran Warrior Writers will lead small groups through the process of sharing the work of others, discussing what it brings up for us, then writing our own experience based on writing prompts or in our own methods of expression. The morning session will be from 1:00pm to 3:00pm and the evening session will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with a break in between for free time, art making, and peer to peer counseling. Under the Hood Café is located at 17 College St. Killeen, TX.
