Im currently still serving in active duty. I joined IVAW after my deployment to iraq, at first i belived everything i was told, but then after i returned i realized that it was all lies, I had a lot in common with the people of Afghanistan, i found there culture beautifal, the people, who my chain of command told me were the ones who would stab me in the back every chance i got were the same people who would offer me chai, footbread, these were not terrorists, or AAF as my chain of command knew them and refered them to be. after my experienced i found myself suffering from guilt and shame, from the lies, the false premises which lead to the loss of great people on both sides
