Chas Jacquier

I joined IVAW because the policies of our government both foreign and domestic have created a situation where we have become the terrorists. We are killing people, destroying their homes, their mosques, and saying that we are spreading democracy and peace. We are spreading hate and terrorism. We are creating more enemies in our occupations of lands that we have no reason to be in. I have served for the past 8 years, have taken lives, almost died on numerous occassions, earned a Purple Heart when I was hit by a RPG resulting in my neck being fractured in two places, shrapnel in my body, and a bruise on my brain and yet through all these things I do not blame the people that did it to me. If they came to my country and did the things we are doing to them I would try and kill them too. If I can justify their actions and not the actions of my fellow Soldiers I know that it is my DUTY to stand and oppose these wars and push for my brothers and sisters to return home!
