The first Central New York Veteran's Art Blast will be held at the 7th annual CNY Veteran's Expo and Homeless Stand-down, at the SUNYIT Campus Center, 575 Residential Drive, Utica NY 13502 on the dates of 09 October - 11 October 2013. Veterans are encouraged to submit their work between 25 August 2013 and  30 September 2013. We are inviting the public to see the timeless truths of war through the eyes of our veterans. Telling your story in a visual language allows you, the artist, to easily express complex emotions and present difficult war time events or conditions how ever you choose, be it literal or abstract. We are accepting all 2d and 3d visual media; whatever format suits your subject or satisfies your need for uncensored expression, anonymity, safety or distance. This show gives the viewer the opportunity to glimpse the rarely encountered emotional realities of war that only the veteran artist can offer. Entry is free for all veterans, no more than three entries per vet, please. No entries larger than 72" in any dimension.
