Rodney

Mail just like in jail is highly appreciated - Rodney Watson

Rodney Watson is a Fort Hood Iraq war veteran who after being stopped lost and facing a second deployment choose to resist, desert, and seek refuge in Canada. In 2009 after facing the threat of deportation and jail Rodney sought sanctuary at the First United Church in Vancouver, Canada.

I’m treated like a dangerous criminal because I decided that war wasn’t worth killing over. Why are we punished for saying we don’ t want to risk our lives for it anymore? I have a very deep feeling that there is going to be some kind of atonement for this. This is not right. This war was evil. - Rodney in an interview with Bob Meola a member of Courage to Resist

Send letters of support to Rodney Watson Jr. at First United Church, 320 East Hastings Street, Vancouver BC V6A 1P4
