Stand with Fort Hood soldiers this Veterans Day

Operation Recovery

IVAW members march at Fort HoodToday IVAW's Fort Hood chapter is bringing the message of the Operation Recovery Campaign to its local Veterans Day march in Killeen, Texas. They are highlighting the struggle of soldiers' and veterans' ability to get access to treatment for issues of trauma, and to fight the stigma associated with psychological affects of war. They are also raising awareness about the particular challenges for military women.

You can stand with Fort Hood soldiers' right to heal by helping to send Fort Hood Commander, General Campbell, a message with 2 demands:

  1. That he host a Town Hall meeting at Fort Hood addressing issues of military trauma, suicide, over-medication, and access to care for the Fort Hood community.
  2. That he take serious steps to increase access to care for those soldiers suffering from Post Traumatic Stress, Military Sexual Trauma, and Traumatic Brain Injury.

To get a stack of postcards to distribute to your friends or have us send a postcard to General Campbell in your name Sing up here
