Hear first hand from veterans of the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan about our plan to stand up for service members' right to heal and bring an end to the occupation of Afghanistan. Join us at one of our upcoming tour stops on the national Right to Heal Tour (click on the event for details or to RSVP):

  • Tuesday, May 1st, 7pm at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma
  • Wednesday, May 2nd, 7pm at The Evergreen State College in Olympia
  • Thursday May 3rd, 7pm at Keystone Congregational Church in Seattle

Over 10,000 service members from Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) are being deployed this year to Afghanistan, many with untreated injuries and trauma from previous deployments or their time in the military. In response, IVAW has launched Operation Recovery: A Campaign to Stand Up For Service Members' Right To Heal. Later this year IVAW organizers from around the Pacific Northwest will converge on JBLM to spark strategic resistance among service members fed up with more than ten years of war and occupation.
