Operation Recovery

Director Olivier Morel and Iraq Veterans Against the War member Vincent Emanuele featured on Worldview and discuss war, trauma and living 'On The Bridge.'

A decade ago, French filmmaker Olivier Morel traveled across the US, collecting stories from the last WWI veterans. He was struck by the mental scars they carried 70 years after the war.  For his documentary On The Bridge, Morel turned to America’s most recent veterans, of Iraq and Afghanistan many of who are Iraq Veterans Against the War members, and their struggles with depression, guilt and PTSD long after their return home.

Olivier Morel and Vince Emanuele tells Worldview about the film and the U.S. veterans whose stories it features.
