MIA: Missing in America

The group Vets Helping Vets started around the time another homeless Vietnam Vet froze to death under a bridge in my city. I'd been working on a documentary: "The Otherside of Patriotism" about homeless veterans, and also did a few albums in a series called "Iowa City's Finest Accommodations" about bridge dwellings. I did this flag, because for so long homeless vets have and vets in general have used the MIA/POW flag to rally around unresolved issues of their wars (to date, mostly Vietnam vets,) but now there are others (Gulf, Iraq, & Afghanistan vets) out there too.
