Winter Soldier LiveBlog: The War at Home; "Looking for my son"
by Justin C. Cliburn | Sat, 03/15/2008 - 6:42pm
I missed this man's name, but I have seen him before. His son died in Iraq after being wounded by an illegal US cluster bomb and not receiving medical attention for two hours. This man traveled to Iraq to find the place where his son died and to meet the Iraqis and feel closer to his son while making peace with a people that had also suffered great loss. He takes solace in his new set of sons and daughters: those of Iraq Veterans Against the War. He points out that his is just one story; there are 4,000 other stories . . . and those are just stories of American loss. |
