Who Are You Calling Anti-American?
by T.J. Buonomo | Mon, 06/16/2008 - 4:11pm
"Communist", "Hippie", "Terrorist-sympathizer", "Haji-lover", "Anti-American"...these are the terms that have been used to describe me and anyone who dares to question the government and take a stand against its abuses of power. The people who use such terms are the same people who turn a blind eye to government propaganda, lies, double-speak, torture, corruption, monarchical impunity, imperial exploitation, and deliberate subversion of the Constitution. They are the same people who believe that to be a patriotic American is to be unquestioningly loyal to the political leadership of this country. There is a term for such people. That term is "fascist". The views expressed here are the views of individual members, not Iraq Veterans Against the War as a whole.
