Like the activists before us, taking our grievances to the capital is a tradition of engaging in real democracy. Personally I have never been to Washington D.C. for political reasons, and I am ready to partake. I won’t be there to support leaders in government, as far as I can see nobody has come out as a true anti-war politician. Immediate withdrawal is the only answer. I will be there with the thousands of others to demand that they listen to the people, regardless of party. Now we mobilize. Lets build with other peace groups, veterans groups, student groups and with those in our community. Getting the word out now is critical. The sooner we engage, the broader our coalitions from around the country will be. Call to action! Our message is true amongst all of us at home, abroad and with those who have suffered. “You up on that hill, listen to the people, we will make you listen to the people. So many have sacrificed for so long, No More! Bring them home!”
