Sometimes it seems a bit useless talking to my family about the beliefs I have about the war and the Bush administration. I feel like I am looked at like crazy person when I talk about it. I would like to share so much with them; videos, veteran speakers, facts and just other things they might not know yet or want to believe.

Just the other day I heard of a pro war protest was held at a memorial made by anti war activists. I wonder if these idiots even knew that. Now, I support our troops too but I would rather support them living instead of dying for an illegal war. I am embarrassed to say I’m an American these days because of what George W. Bush has done to our image. Sometime I am tempted to move to another country and rid myself of the corruption we have here. I would rather live in a country that is in poverty than live in a country where leaders lie to their people and break international laws and continue to spend money to send more of our young young men and women to go fight for their lives. That IS all they are doing is fighting for their lives the minute they get over their. On top of that we are breaking down a country that never wanted us there in the first place. I cry for our men and women that have died and that will continue to die, but I also cry for the tens of thousand Iraqi people that have died trying to protect their families.

Don't get me wrong, I know that there are bad people there but we
don't need to be dying over other peoples' religious beliefs. No one has the right to force democracy on another nation just because they think we are the strongest force in the world. I know I don't know everything, but I do know what I have read and researched to know a little more than the average person. I feel like most people are so gullible that they listen to just about anything the news or their leaders tell them. I just wish and pray that these people learn to think for themselves before it's too late.

I was watching the President give a speech this morning and he pretty much said that if congress passes a bill to stop funding for the war that our troops would suffer in Iraq, so I guess he would just let our troops suffer in a war zone instead of bring them home. Do you really want a president who would do something like that to your sons, daughters, service men and women, brothers, sisters, moms and dads? I know I don’t.

I am sad for what is happening to our country.
