Branch of service: Army National Guard of the United States (ARNG)
Unit: A Co., 276 En Bn
Rank: Expendable
Home: Arlington, Virginia
Served in: Mosul and Tal A'far Iraq
Steve is a former Combat Engineer who served as a member of the Army's Explosive Ordinance Disposal security detail for northern Iraq, from March 2004 to February 2005. He graduated from the University of Rochester in 1996 and decided that he wanted to do something rash and enlisted in the Virginia Army National Guard in 1997. He is married with two children and lives in Arlington Virginia. As a patriot, he believes in the right of the United States to unleash unrestrained war against anyone who would threaten our country's liberty or prosperity. Also as a patriot, he believes that our war in Iraq has run out of effective direction and acts as a drain on our most vital of resources; that by loitering in Iraq, we as a nation are distracted from those who would like to yoke us, conquer us and convert us as a people. He believes that our victory does not lie in Iraq's sands. |
