I joined the PA Army National Guard when I was 17 years old in August of 2003. I believed in the concept of defending our country and with written consent of my parents, I enlisted for six years.

After my enlistment, I had become more involved in what was going on in the world and began doing research on the recent events that were taking place both nationally and internationally. I was proud of the fact that many soldiers had assisted in the disaster that would result from Hurricane Katrina. But thinking about the occupation of Iraq got me contemplating war in general, and I began to question my own beliefs on participation in war.

I am currently seeking classification as a 1-0 Conscientious Objector. If anyone has any questions, please contact me.
