I grew up in rural southern Wisconsin with a desire to get out of town. My friends weren't happy about my choice, but I was always fairly stubborn about my choices. Then I went to recruit training in San Diego, CA. I graduated and was designated to be a truck driver. I spent 13 months in Okinawa, 8 months in CA, 8 months in Iraq, some more time in CA, and a month in VA. It took me five years to complete my four year enlistment because I went UA to seek PTSD help in the civilian world that I had difficulty getting in the military world. I was separated in June 2006, and I have recently found my voice to denounce our occupation. Sempfer fi |
