I was a Spc. serving on active duty army in Vilseck Germany. I served under the 94th engineer company. Deployed to Mosul, Iraq in OIF3 or 2005.
Over half of the original guys I served with were caught up in Stoploss. I just barely escaped from being stoploss. Finding out that my comander and 1SG were hiding my ETS orders from me so I wouldn't be able to "exercise" them and therefore getting me stoplossed so I would be forced to go back to Iraq for a second time. I wasn't about to sit around to get stoploss.
I'm now out still in inactive reserve but for the most part I'm out and back to normal..or atleast as normal as possible... I'm now living in Denver Colorado and love every minute of it!.
